Allen Jnr (TAJ)

Ancestry:
TAJ grew
up in a small Aboriginal community called Walhallow in NW NSW, situated
70kms from Tamworth. TAJ's heritage is from the Kamilaroi people who
are the second largest language group in NSW. Walhallow is TAJ's spiritual
home where he enjoys peace and tranquility that inspires him to create.
Artistic Style &
Artistic Influence:
TAJ is heavily influenced by both urban and rural life around the Kamilaroi
region, where he lives, works and studies. This influence has helped
him develop a style of painting that is modern and exciting, yet spiritually
traditional in its concept. His paintings are best described as Urba-regional.
This custom of painting maintains its essence by being created locally,
it's designed to delight and to inform without any prejudice or politics.
TAJ's main vision as an Artist
is:
1. To produce a collection of unique high quality paintings from within
the Kamilaroi region.
2. To extend friendship and knowledge to like minded art enthusiasts.
